Check your state laws! In Michigan at least the LEFT passing lane is just that--- a passing lane ---NOT a permanent travel lane. According to current Drivers Training, legally you could get pulled over for prolonged traveling in the passing lane. Hey, I'm admit I'm guilty of it, however, there is always some A*S*S...who wants to ride up mine when I'm traveling even faster than I should be in the passing lane.
