Genetic Syndroms Suck

My son Elijah (http://prayforeli.blogspot.com/) was born on Dec. 23, 2006. He was missing thumbs, radius bones, growth plates in his knees, and had a soft cleft pallet, fused cartiledge in his skull and a rare skin condition. He's four today, and he's awesome. Our family celebrates Festivus like a powerdrive on overdrive. Our grievances are many, but when Eli performs his feats of strength (in prosthetic legs), we cheer for hours. Hope it doesn't violate the spirit of the season, but we decorate our pole with green paint, branches, ornaments and an angel on top of the tree. That's how we roll.
Screw you, Ghost of Festivus Past. Elijah wins!
