Hello,
I know that a festivus pole must have a high strength to weight ratio. I do not have an aluminum pole, but I just so happen to have an alloy titanium pole, which is left over from a project. This thing is so strong it's crazy.
Is this acceptable for a festivus pole?

While aluminum is the alloy of choice based on Frank's description in "The Strike" (aka "The Festivus Episode"), the pole can be whatever you want. Some people stick a nail into a flower pot, some use old galvanized pipe, others might wrap aluminum foil around a piece of PVC pipe. It's the thought that counts.
Though you present an interesting option. Frank indicated aluminum is chosen because of its "high strength to weight ratio". I don't know for sure but I would venture to guess that the strength to weight ratio of titanium exceeds that of aluminum which means you may have a Festivus Pole to top all Festivus Poles.
