Hypochondriacs in the workplace

I suppose each business entity gets a certain quota of those who seek attention by having bizarre symptoms that require "hospital visits" and "bed rest." However, that said, does it take a rocket scientist to figure out that it always seems to happen when there is some unpleasant work to be done, like inventory?
