Festivous DateSubmitted by pmullock on 15 November, 2007 - 2:48pm.
I think I will celebrate Festivus on the 2nd Saturday of every December. That way it is guaranteed to fall on a day that more people can come together on. So this year it looks like it's December 8th! |

Yea, we have an annual
Yea, we have an annual Maupin Hall dorm Festivus Celebration that usually falls on the Saturday before finals. This year it's the 8th. Were having Festivus carols around the pole, our Festivus Feast of pancakes and sausage, of course Airing of the Grievances, and Feasts of Strength.
The pole is up
Grievences born
With Feats of Strength,
Our ligaments are torn.
Round the pole we sing aloud
Our Maupin Festivus we celebrate proud.
Festivus feast all around
When the man of the house gets pinned to the ground.
Then this celebration will come to an end,
I'm Disappointed in all you people!
So come again
As we celebrate this Festivus
the holiday for the rest of us!
You've got it "right"
Festivus has no rules and can be celebrated any time, any time at all. That said.... changing the spelling? REALLY?
festivus is on the 23rd
festivus is on the 23rd
What is wrong with this guy.
What is wrong with this guy. Festivus is on the 23rd of December. I have read all the books and Seinfeld has it riggt. I know the orginal family says we can have it any time but the 'Seinfeld Rule" has it on the 23rd. In fact me and my family have a reservation at the best wing joint in town to celebrate festivus eve on the 22nd and that is when I will unvaile my aluminum foil festivius pole.
The true Seinfeld fans KNOW
The true Seinfeld fans KNOW the correct date to celebrate Festivus IS the 23rd of December. In the episode, Frank Costanza explains the Festivus is celebrated 2 days before Christmas.
Hence, the 23rd. If you are going to celebrate our joyous Seinfeldesque holiday, please adhere to the correct date.
Thanks,
The real Bob Saccamano
