movie theater commercials

if movie theaters sell advertising, shouldn't ticket prices go down? if prices get lower, i can understand using ads to offset the cost, but i'm paying $8.25 and i still have to sit through fifteen minutes worth of commercials.

That is why they make home theaters, with cushy seats and a pause button on the remote. There is the problem of the previews on the DVD that can't be bypassed....

Movie COmmerials

Just make it Vegas Night, like we do...bet on a specific number of commericals. Your rules must address "public service announcments" and "the pre move trivia". Also, "Previews".

Your team must clearly establish what is counted for "# of ", the terms (free popcorn to the winner? The price of the movie? more????)and let the fun/counting begin.

We gleefully cheer and/or groan during the pre-movie commericals are played, depending on the rules estabished and who is winning.
