I am revolted to the point of regurgitation by workplace lingo.Submitted by Anonymous on 17 November, 2008 - 10:11pm.
I get the urge to stab a baby seal in it's big cute eyeballs when I'm asked to step up to the plate, close the deal, think outside of the box, get on the same page, touch base, get my ducks in a row, be a team player, or find a win-win. I want to gouge out my brain with an iron stick when I hear customer-centric, action item, out of the loop, pluck low-hanging fruit, proactive, and integrated solution. |

We need a Meeting!
Well, when we consult with the powers that be, and circumvent the red tape, I think we should be able to come up with an office language that is more user friendly to all parties involved. What we really need to do is some good, old-fashioned Brain Storming. An outline depicting where we are linguistically and where we aspire to be in the next five years is essential. Once upper management has had a change to review the proposal, crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's, there will be a Memo circulated regarding the outcome.

You are obviously not a team player and don't work well under pressure and haven't from the get go (or is it gecko?)
At the end of the day
Yes, but, at the end of the day, let's not try to boil the ocean because we're comparing apples and oranges when we should focus on customer experience, not widget-counting. As long as we can get leadership consensus around the synergies (and of course we need to keep it ducks and bunnies) than the resource issues should align around the funnel outputs when we utilize the appropriate process-driven solutions matrices.

Sounds to me like someone's got a bit too much on their plate today.
can't stand it myself, what
can't stand it myself, what a perfect storm, that doesn't get much traction with me...
At the end of the day
it is what it is.

Why don't you be more pro-active and grab the bull by the horns?
What we need is...
a completely new paradigm.
